ABOUT THE FUNDRAISER
ACCOMMODATION:

We choose our hotels based on the following priorities: COMFORT, LOCATION, AMENITIES!

NOTE: STAYING IN THE OSA PENINSULA - OUR ACCOMMODATIONS AT THE DRAKE BAY RESORT WILL BE BAREBONES/RUSTIC - DESPITE THE IMPRESSION THEIR WEBSITE GIVES:))

SO WHY DID WE CHOOSE THIS INN?

BAR + POOL + A/C + LOCATION

(You will be staying in a tropical rainforest that doesn't cool down at night, these amenities are much more valuable than a nightly turndown service:))

  • This is a sustainable wildlife tour. We shall be visiting a cloud forest, before heading down to the tropical rainforests of the Osa Peninsula.

  • Our choice of accommodations in the Osa Peninsula are based on location. The Drake Bay wilderness Resort has the capacity to host our group size (the majority do not), and is family owned and operated. It also has A/C – no small thing in a tropical rainforest!

  • The Park Inn Radisson, San Jose – great location to both San Jose/ airport.

  • Savegre Nature Preserve and Spa – comfortable room facilities, breathtaking grounds & surroundings.

  • Drake Bay Wilderness Resort – best location in the area! Beachfront, pool,  A/C

TRANSPORT:

Private, luxury shuttle.  Met at the airport for arrival/departure transfers.  Accompanied throughout the entire tour.

STAFF:
  • This tour will be accompanied by Sharon & Tom and led by a full-time, professional guide.

  • We aim to deliver above and beyond your adventure expectations.  Always.  Every time.

  • Encourage individual discovery time through education.  We find the contacts, the cool spots, and the inside knowledge.  We do the grunt work so you don’t have to!

  • Whether you come solo or as a couple, you’ll leave with like-minded friends.

  • Optional Excursions are not included in the tour price.  However, we do our very best to get you the very best deal around!

Although our partnership may have started over a couple of beers, Eat the Peach Travel and Blue – Green Connections, have been working behind the scenes to make sustainable group travel a reality.  Travel that not only gives back to the places we travel, but also our new home of Dunedin, Florida.

Dunedin is quite special in being a cozy, coastal town that shares the Florida Gulf Coast, home to many unique and threatened wildlife. Blue-Green Connections stepped up to the plate in 2019 with concerns of unsustainable human practices, climate change, and the newly appointed Florida Gulf Hope Spot (an area scientifically identified as critical to the health of the ocean).

From there they developed the non-profit organization to educate, inspire and motivate local individuals, businesses and organizations to protect our land and waters.

As the world gears back up for travel, we feel confident in our new direction of sustainable group travel AND partnership with Blue-Green Connections to create travel that’s healthy for the people, planet, and prosperity.
